Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi has hinted that he is only thinking of helping Bursaspor gain promotion back to the elite division and not a new deal.
Abdullahi’s current deal with the Turkish side expires at the end of the current campaign and reports had it that Bursaspor are ready to offer him a fresh deal that will see him remain at the club beyond July.
However, in a social media chat with www.brila.net, the 27-year-old former Plateau United defender said he’s not thinking about new deal presently and only focused on helping the club achieve their main objectives.
“The season is still on, Concentration is only on Bursaspor’s promotion, so no contract talks distraction,” he told brila.net.
Abdullahi has been one of the star performers for the Turkish side this season and has contributed four goals in 26 appearances for the club alone this season.
Bursaspor is currently third on Turkish first division log with 46 points before the season was suspended indefinitely due to outbreak.
