Nigeria Table tennis player, Abayomi Animashaun has expressed strong confidence on his chance to win a title in the 2019 World table tennis Junior championship in Egypt later this month.
Animashaun who is training alongside other senior players in a chat with brila.net also added that he is not panicky ahead of the draws and expressed his readiness to face the challenge head on.
“I have been training really hard with the help of my coach and teammates and with this I believe I will have a good outing in Egypt.”
Participating in his last Junior championship this year, Animashaun who will be moving up to the senior table tennis team next year hopes he can surpass the record of Aruna Quadri as a senior national team player.
“I am motivated by Aruna Qaudri, he speaks to me and gives me advice when needed and is always willing to speak with us junior tennis players”
Abayomi will be participating in the singles, doubles and mixed doubles event with Team Nigeria at the Junior’s Table Tennis championship from October 11th, 2019.
