CAFWCL: Bayelsa Queens face AS FAR in Semis

Bayelsa Queens are through to the semi-finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League after beating Wadi Degla on Sunday.

The Nigerian Champions pummeled the Egyptians 3-0 to finish second in Group B with six points, three behind defending Champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Juliet Sunday scored the first goal for Bayelsa Queens in the first half, before Mercy Itimi added a second half brace to seal the 3-0 victory.

Mercy Evawere bagged the woman of the match award for her splendid performance for the Prosperity Girls.

By virtue of finishing second, Bayelsa Queens will now face AS FAR for a place in the final.
