The Flamingos are stepping up preparations for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup semifinal clash with Chile.
The team arrived in Goa on Sunday ahead of the semi-final tie slated for Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
The team is already training at Uttorda pitch in Goa, with coach Bankole Olowookere taking the girls through special shooting practice.
The Flamingos knocked out pre tournament favorites United States to advance to the last four for the first time in their history.
“We can do more, we can get the final and I know God will help us,
“I’m working out strategies with the girls, because Nigerians are expecting us to reach the final.” Bankole said ahead of the game.
A victory over the Chileans who themselves defeated Tanzania, means they become the first African side to reach the final of the tournament.
