Ebi joins Nigeria’s Spanish Primera Contingent

Super Falcons veteran defender Onome Ebi has signed for Spanish Women’s topflight side Levante Las Planas.

The CB was unveiled by her new side on Thursday after penning a one-year contract with the newly promoted side.

Ebi last played for Belarus giants Minsk, and became free agent following the expiration of her contract just before the African Women’s Championship.

After her arrival at the Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino outfit, Ebi described the club as her new home and she’s ready to give her all.

She becomes the latest Nigerian player to move to the Spanish league after Osinachi Ohale, Rasheedat Ajibade, Peace Efih, and Asisat Oshoala.

The 39-year-old started her career in Nigeria with Omidiran Babes and Bayelsa Queens, and has now played in Belarusia, Sweden, China, and Spain.

She also holds record for the most FIFA World Cup appearance ( five-time ) by any African players.
