Ime Udoka has apologized to the the Management and fans of Boston Celtics after violating the franchise code of conduct.
Udoka was suspended for the entire 2022-2023 season, following an affair with a female member of the team’s staff.
The NBA side stated that the former D’Tigers star violated the policies of the NBA franchise and won’t be leading the team going forward.
In reaction, Udoka apologized to the entire Boston Celtics management for his misconduct.
“I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team’s decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment.”
Udoka led Celtics to the NBA Finals in his first season in charge. His assistant Joe Mazzulla will take over as interim coach.
