Kelechi Iheanacho got his first start of the season for Leicester City in their League Cup game against Stockport on Tuesday.
Iheanacho was handed a starting role after he came on as substitutes against Southampton over the weekend, while Maddison dropped to the bench.
The Nigerian forward couldn’t mark the occasion with a goal as the Foxes struggled to hit top gear against the League two sides.
The Super Eagles star was on for the whole entire minutes, made two key passes and a pass accuracy of 85%. He also attempted fired five with none hitting the target.
The game ended without a goal in the normal time, but Leicester marched into the next round with a 1-3 win in the penalty shootout.
