Dutch Eredivisie Champions Ajax Amsterdam will miss the services of Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey for the next two games.
Bassey was sent off during the Dutch Super Cup against PSV Eindhoven on Sunday.
The Nigerian came on for his debut in the 66th minute, but only lasted for 18 minutes as he was given a matching order for dangerous play.
The young defender will now miss the games, against Fortuna Sittard (league opener) on Saturday and Groningen’s ( first home game) home match on August 14 due to suspension.
The former Rangers and Leicester City defender will be allowed back in the squad for the clash against Sparta Rotherham on the 21 of August.
Bassey is the most expensive defender in the history of the Club, after joining the Club in a £16m deal with Glasgow Rangers last month.
