Alex Iwobi was on the long side again as Everton suffered another heavy defeat against Minnesota United on Thursday.

The Nigerian started the match, but couldn’t save the Toffees from losing 4-0 at Allianz Field.

The defeat came after the 2-0 defeat to Premier League rivals Arsenal over the weekend.

Everton started well, full of attacking intent and looking dangerous. They almost went in front when Abdoulaye Doucoure played a cross down the right.

The Toffees then took their foot off the gas and allowed the MLS side dominate the game from there on.

Minnesota United went into the half time break leading 3-0 and added the fourth with fifteen minutes left to play.

Everton wasted a chance to get a goal from the game, when Dele Alli missed an easy chance with empty net at his mercy.
