Heartland FC skipper Chukwudi Nwaodu believes that the team’s slow start to the season and irregular salary pattern amidst other challenges all contributed to their woes.
Despite a win on the final day of the season, Heartland FC failed to retain their top flight status and Nwaodu insists not much was done to forestall the eventuality.
In a chat with Brila.net the Heartland captain stressed that players psyche gets affected when they’re not sure of earnings and affects concentration.
He admitted that efforts by the Management in the latter stages of the season to pay wages were too little too late towards to avert relegation.
