Nigeria U17 midfielder Emmanuel Michael was voted as the man of the match in the Golden Eaglets’ victory over Togo at the WAFU B Championship.
Emmanuel played an important role as Eaglets trashed their Togolese counterparts 3-1 to advance to the semi-final of the tournament on Tuesday.
They sealed the ticket with wins from two games, scored 7, and conceded 3, and a win in the semifinal will secure the 2023 U17 AFCON for the Nigerian side.
Kewe iyede, captain Precious William, and Light Eke scored the goals for Nigeria to record a maximum of six points in two matches in the group.
Meanwhile, the winners between Ghana and Togo in the last Group A game on Friday will join Nigeria in the semi-final of the tournament.
