Thursday’s hero Alex Iwobi has expressed delighted with Nigeria’s start to the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Iwobi played all 90 minutes as Nigeria defeated Sierra Leone 2-1 inside an empty MKO Abiola Stadium on Thursday.
The Midfielder scored the equalizer to spark the Team’s come back in the encounter after Jonathan Morsay, Victor Osimhen completed the come back before the break.
On his 54th cap for Nigeria the 26 year-old netted his 10th senior team goal and becomes the third Nigerian midfielder to score 10+ goals for the Super Eagles in the process.
Reacting to the game, Iwobi tweeted in celebration of the the result and also share a video of his goal.
