Nigeria NT Head Coach José Santos Peseiro has included Victor Osimhen and Ahmed Musa, in his 27-man squad to face Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Peseiro also included Israeli –based goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye, defenders Abdullahi Shehu, Zaidu Sanusi, Leon Balogun and Kenneth Omeruo.
Midfielders Peter Etebo and Frank Onyeka and forwards Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, as well as Sadiq Umar in the squad.
These players missed the US tour; where the Super Eagles played Mexico and Ecuador, due to Club engagement and traveling issues.
The Portuguese tactician kept faith with goalkeepers Francis Uzoho and Adewale Adeyinka, defenders Olaoluwa Aina, Calvin Bassey, Sani Faisal.
Oluwasemilogo Ajayi and Chidozie Awaziem, midfielders Joseph Ayodele-Aribo, Alex Iwobi and Innocent Bonke.
Forwards Moses Simon, Terem Moffi, Cyriel Dessers and Emmanuel Dennis – who were all part of the squad in the USA were also listed in the squad for the AFCON qualifying matches.
Nigeria will host Sierra Leone at the MKO Abiola National Stadium on Thursday 9th June, before flying to Marrakech, Morocco to play away to São Tomé and Príncipe on Monday, 13th June.
