Nigeria’s U17 Ladies Coach Bankole Olowookere is preparing his side for the clash against Egypt this weekend, but with little information on the opponents.
The Flamengoes had a test match against Squad One Academy and Joshia Angels respectively in Abuja and recorded 3-0 and 8-1 victories in both games ahead of the Egypt game.
Speaking to the NFF media team, Olowookere explained that the girls will be ready for the encounter.
“The idea will turn to positive goal scoring opportunity. It would have been worrisome if the game had ended 0-0. Because they scored two out of seven.
“It’s a gradual process and in their head they were playing against boys, so the marking and goalkeeping will be different when we play Egypt, except for some exceptional cases.”
The tactician later admitted, that he has no ideas about how the Egyptians will approach the games, but is trusting on the informations he received from colleagues.
“I will be sincere with you, they haven’t played qualifiers, we don’t know what to expect from them, but we have friends who are helping us with details on how they play. Egyptians are tricky, they defend and play on counter attack,”He said.
