Isaac Success was the Star of the show as Udinese fought a goal down to humiliate Cagliari 5-1 in Sunday’s Italian Serie A game.
Success created two of the five goals and potentially helped to boost Udinese’s chances of staying up for next season.
In the first half, the Nigerian played a through ball to Beto, the Brazilian fire wide with the outside of the boot.
Despite Udinese being the sharper of the two sides, it was Cagliari that took the lead against the run of play following an error in midfield.
Dalbert rolled across for Joao Pedro, who took a touch and curled into the far top corner from 14 yards.
Udinese equalised few minutes later through Rodrigo Becao, who tapped home from goal line scramble.
It became 2-1 in favor of Udinese when Pereyra sent a ball back from the by-line for Beto to volley in at full stretch from four yards.
Beto added a third straight after the restart, picking a delightful pass from Isaac Success from the edge of the area.
Success again set up Nahuel Molina to smash home the fourth of the game for Udinese, before Beto completed his hat-trick with a header from Ignacio Pussetto’s cross.
It went from bad to worse for Cagliari who were then reduced to 10 men after Alberto Grassi received a second yellow card for a really obvious dive.
