Osimhen big miss for Napoli against Atalanta — Monica Scozzafava

Striker Victor Osimhen will miss Napoli league clash with Atalanta this Sunday and Italian media believes the striker is a big loss to his side.

Osimhen is suspended from taking part in the game, after picking up his fifth booking of the campaign against Udinese before the international break.

The 23-year-okd has been in terrific form for the title challengers — scoring five in his last five league outings for them.

“The test of strength is high: Osimhen is not there and Napoli must go back to scoring with the others . ” Monica Scozzafava wrote in her column in today’s edition of Corriere del Mezzogiorno:

She added : “Five goals in the last five league games; six of Napoli’s last goals bear his signature. Victor Osimhen is not just any absence. He inevitably becomes one.”

“Lack” in the area that ultimately counts more than anything else, the one that passes the opposing goalkeeper. And where the team has failed a bit.”

Meanwhile, Osimhen is yet to return to Naples after featuring for the Super Eagles against Ghana last Tuesday.

It was reported that Napoli granted the striker extra days off as he won’t be taking part in the trip to Atalanta.
