Samuel Kalu not ready for Manchester United clash

Nigerian forward Samuel Kalu is doubtful for Watford’s Premier League game against Manchester United later on Saturday evening.

According to Watford’s manager, Roy Hodgson, Kalu is suffering from swollen ankle and could be left out of the trip to Old Trafford.

“There’s still a few that are suffering from fatigue. So I must say I should probably leave the team selection until the last minute just to see how well people recover.

“But really, in terms of injury, we’ve still got [Nicolas] Nkoulou basically who is injured. [Samuel] Kalu, who is suffering from a slight ankle injury. I don’t think there is too many more apart from that.” he said.

The Super Eagles winger hasn’t featured for the Hornets since completing his switch to the Premier League strugglers from Girondins Bordeaux of France.

The 24-year-old is also likely to miss Super Eagles FIFA World Cup qualifiers match with Ghana next month.
