Victor Osimhen was on parade for Napoli in their top-of-the-league Italian Serie A clash against Inter Milan on Saturday.
The Nigerian lived up to the prematch hype as he tormented the Inter Milan defense all through the game that was played at the Diego Maradona’s Stadium in Naples.
Osimhen gave Napoli the ideal start to the game when he won a penalty inside the opening seventh minute. The 23-year-old was caught in the ankle by Stefan de Vrij and Insigne converted the spot-kick to put the Partenopei in front.
With that penalty kick, it means has won four penalty kicks in the Italian Serie A for Napoli this season, and no player in Europe’s top five leagues has won more.
The Super Eagles striker almost increased his tally in the second half, but Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic denied him twice.
However, the game ended in a 1-1 draw as Edin Dzeko canceled out a Lorenzo Insigne penalty in the second half.
