Enyimba FC club secretary Chibuzo Nworgu has stated that the Nigeria Professional Football League side will await the position of the Confederation of Africa Football following Al-Itihad walkover claims.
CAF ordered the Al-ittihad vs Enyimba game to be played in Benghazi on the 19th of December 2021 with a swift response from Enyimba detailing the non feasibility of the arrangements at such short notice due to logistics and International administrative processes.
CAF had referred Enyimba to seek cooperation with the Libyan side to allow Enyimba an extension of time which had been stated in a correspondence by the Nigeria Professional Football League side only to see this rejected by the Libyan side and subsequently a walkover which also awaits ratification by the Confederation of Africa Football.
Nworgu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Libyan side are just simply desperate and want to use all means possible to edge Enyimba in the race to make the group stage of the CAF Confederation cup.
