Paul Onuachu is pleased to end his goal drought for Genk as they beat Sporting Charleroi on Thursday.
Onuachu has failed to find the back of the net, since scoring in Genk’s 6-2 win at Zulte Waregem last October.
The last season’s top scorer went seven consecutive games without scoring and also suffered hamstring injury along the way.
He scored the equaliser in the 35th minute, as Genk came from behind to beat Sporting Charleroi 4-2 in the Belgian Jupiler League encounter.
Speaking with media, Onuachu says, he’s pleased to halt his drought and he’s looking forward to ending the year on a positive note.
“It is very pleasing to score again after a few weeks. There was a lot of space for us to walk in and that gave us quite a few opportunities. Now two more bangs to close the year.” He said
Onuachu has now scored 11 goals in 17 league games for Genk.
