Emenalo turns down Newcastle United’s job offer

Former Nigerian international Michael Emenalo will not accept the director of football role at Premier League club Newcastle United.

Emenalo was linked with the vacant role since the Saudi Arabian consultium took over the club from former owner Mike Ashley.

However, latest reports suggested that The former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo has turned down the offer after negotiation broke down.

It was understood that Emenalo rejected the director of football role after the club could not match his ambitious plans.

Emenalo is one of the brains behind Chelsea’s famous academy and also worked with French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
