Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup striker Simy Nwankwo continues his poor run in front of goal as he fired blank in Salernitana’s league game against AC Milan on Saturday.
The lanky forward failed to score as Salernitana suffered a 2-0 defeat to new leaders AC Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.
The 29-year-old has featured in 16 league games for the newly-promoted side and managed just one goal and one assist.
He tasted action for 61 minutes before he was substituted for Italian forward Federico Bonazolli.
Franck Kessie’s low drive shot in the 5th minute out Milan ahead, before Alexis Saelemaekers extended their lead in the 18th minute with a brilliant left-foot shot.
Salernitana are rooted in the bottom of the table — with just 8 points from 16 games.
