Former Chelsea and Liverpool forward Victor Moses was in excellent form for Spartak Moscow their 2-1 victory over Ahkmat Grozny on Saturday.
The former Nigerian international scored one of the goals as Spartak Moscow brushed aside their visitors at the Otkritie Arena.
The former Inter Milan winger opened the scoring in the 13th minute, after connecting with a pass from Russian forward Aleksandr Sobolev.
However, Spartak Moscow were reduced to ten-man in the 32nd minutes as Sobolev was shown a straight red card by the referee.
The visitors took advantage and restored parity towards the end of the first half, with no thanks to an emphatic finish from Daniil Utkin.
Moses was withdrawn in the 87th and was replaced by Georgi Melkadze who later set up the winning score by Dutch winger Quincy Promes.
Spartak Moscow are now unbeaten in their last three matches, and next for them is the Europa League game against Legia Warsaw on Thursday.
