Napoli manager Luciano Spalleti has likened his striker Victor Osimhen to football greats George Weah and Marco van Basten.

Osimhen who is one of the bright stars from Napoli’s team this season has contributed nine goals from 12 games.

The 22-year-old has own won two penalties and assisted one goal, despite missing three games due to suspension and injury.

Speaking ahead of Napoli’s league game against Hellas Verona this evening, Spalleti likened his star striker to George Weah and Van Basten who are two of the greatest strikers in the history of the Serie A.

“He is similar to Weah, probably not as strong technically, but with the same quality. He also reminds me of Van Basten. Osimhen is young and he can reach those levels,” Spalletti by Football Italia.
