Paul Onuachu’s KRC Genk ended their poor run of form in the Belgian Jupiler League with a win over Zault Waregem on Sunday.
Onuachu scored one of the goals as Genk put six past their hosts to record their first win, after their three consecutive defeat in the league.
Japanese forward Junya Ito scored the opener for the John Van den Brom’s side on the 13th , before Kristian Thorstvedt added the second few minutes to half time break.
Paul Onuachu made it 3-0 two minutes into the second half and it was his 12th goal of the season for the Club.
The goal also end a run of five games without goal in all competitions for the struggling Genk.
Bryan Heynen and Jhon Lucumi, scored twice in four minutes to make it 5-0, before Jelle Vossen and Dereck Kutesa reduced the deficit for the hosts.
Bryan Heynen scored his second of game on the 86th minute to give Genk a comprehensive victory and got their title aspirations back on track.
KRC Genk remain in 6th position with 20 points from possible 39, but remain 6 points behind leaders Club Brugge.
They will play West Ham United football club in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.
