Former African Footballer of the year Victor Nosa Ikpeba has warned the Super Eagles against undermining their next FIFA 20Central Africa Republic.
The Three time African champions are currently leading their FIFA World Cup qualifying Group with six points from two matches and they will face Raroul Savouy’s led Central Africa Republic in double-header clash next.
The first clash of the encounters is billed for Thursday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos State.
Speaking at the Monday Night Football , Ikpeba has warned the Gernot Rohr’s side against undermining their opponents who are still without a win in the qualifiers.
“On paper it looks very clearly that we will pick the six points but we have to be very careful because football is always played on the field of play.” He said.
Nigeria began their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-0 victory over Lone Stars of Liberia, and before beating the Blue Sharks Of Cape Verde 2-1 in Mindelo few days later.
