Former Super Eagles attacker, Garba Lawal has reacted to reports making round in the media that Genk forward, Ike Ugbo, has decided to switch allegiance to Nigeria.
Ugbo was quoted saying, he has decided to dump his country of birth England to represent Nigeria at the senior international level.
Reacting to news , Lawal opined that, Nigeria should only pick the best to join the Super Eagles , and not just anyone.
“Any player that’s not good to play for England or Germany is not good enough for the Super Eagles,”.
“If they feel that the England national team is too big for them, then they are not good for us. I’m not kicking against Nigerian players born abroad coming to play for us but we have to take only the best and not just any player.” Lawal reportedly told Nigerian tabloid,Punch.
