Maduka Okoye says the Super Eagles is leaving no stone unturned as they prepare to take on the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde.
The Super Eagles defeated Liberia 2-0 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Friday and they will trade tackles with Tubarões Azuis in their second Group game on Tuesday.
Speaking ahead of game, Okoye said, it’s important to start the qualifying campaign with a win against Liberia.
“It was important to start the qualifiers with a win, especially under difficult conditions.”

The Tuesday’s game will be played on an artificial turf (EstadioMunicipal Aderito Sena, Mindelo), and Okoye is confident theSuper Eagles of Nigeria will adapt to the surface.
“Against Cape Verde, It’s going to be a very good game against a very good opponents. We know the situation with the synthetic pitch. We will prepare well for them and hopefully do well as a team. ” He said.
A victory will solidify Super Eagles place at the top of the table. They currently occupy the first position with three points, while their opponents are second with a single point.
