Akwa United forward Charles Atshimene joined Portuguese Club CD Feirense of Portugal on Tuesday.
The details of the deal was not disclosed, but it is understood that the youngster signed two-and-half year deal.
Atshimene scored 19 goals to help Akwa United finished as the winner of Nigeria Professional Football League in the 2020-2021 campaign.
The form earned him maiden call-up to the Super Eagles squad that played against Mexico in Los Angeles Coliseum last July.
Atshimene signed for the Promise Keepers from Abia Warriors two seasons ago.
He’s the second high profile player to depart from the Kennedy Boboye’s tutored side in this window, after Olisa Ndah who penned a deal with Premier Soccer League Side Orlando Pirates.
