Nigeria’s representatives in the CAF Champions League Rivers United are interested in signing veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali.
NPFL expert, Adepoju Tobi confirmed, that the Pride of Rivers have tabled an official bid for the Kano Pillars legend and they are confident an agreement can be reached.
The reports also suggested that, discussions between Rivers United and Ali’s representatives are going smoothly and monthly salary of over N1,000,000 has been agreed.
Ali is considering a new environment after playing for decades in the North and he’s also eager to playing continental football once again.
Rivers United are in the market to bolster their squad for next season CAF Champions League and Nigeria Professional Football League.
The Stanley Eguma’s side will start their CAF Champions League campaign against Young Africans FC of Tanzania.
