Nigeria’s Ese Brume finished third in the final of the Women’s Long Jump event at the on-going Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Ese Brume took the bronze with a leap of 6.97 meter to earn Nigeria her first medal at the ongoing games.
Germany’s Malaika Mihambo won the gold while AmericanBrittney Reese took the silver.
Mihambo who had a slow start powered down the runway to register a season-best jump of 7.00 meters in her third attempt to win the gold.
Reese on her part, recorded her best jump in the competition with a6.97m, but the American could only manage 6.84 with her last leap to settle for silver.
