Super Eagles goalkeeper, John Noble has disclosed that an injury sustained in training stopped him from featuring in the friendly against Mexico.
Noble was tipped to start the game against Mexico in Los Angeles Coliseum last Sunday, but Lobi Stars shot stopper Stanley Nwabali later got the nod to start the match.
In a chat with the Super Eagles media officer, Babafemi Raji, the Enyimba of Aba goalkeeper disclosed that he didn’t play a part in the game, due to the injury he sustained during training.
Noble added that that he was unhappy with the 4-0 loss, however, thanked the NFF for the great experience.
“For me right from the bench, I was feeling bad because I was hoping we will get a good result like a draw because lots of people are banking on us. But due to my injury”.
I was not able to feature in the game. However, I still thank God for the experience. At least this is my second time visiting the US, so it was a wonderful one.” he said.
