Junior Ajayi was in action for Al Ahly football club of Egypt in their 3-0 victory over Esperance FC of Tunisia in the CAF Champions League semifinals second leg played at Cairo International Stadium.
The 25 years old was not included in the starting eleven but did come on in the second half.
The former Shooting Stars of Ibadan striker replaced Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng in the 58th minutes, and he was involved in his team’s last goal of the game.
The Egyptians opened the scoring in the 38th minutes after Ali Maaloul converted a penalty.
Mohamed Sherif doubled the advantage for the home team in the 56th minutes after combining with Magdi Kafsha.
Substitute Hussein El Shahat scored the last goal of the game in the 60th minutes, thanks to perfect work from Junior Ajayi.
Al Ahly however advanced to the Caf Champions League final with a 4-0 aggregate victory over the Tunisians.
They will face South African side Kaizer Chiefs in the final of the competition.
