Adetunji frustrated after Rivers United’s draw vs Wikki Tourists

Sunday Adetunji blamed bad luck for Rivers United’s 1-1 draw against Wikki Tourists on Monday.

Rivers United forced their guests to a draw in the week 23rd of the 2020-2021 Nigeria professional football league encounter in Port Harcourt.

Former Rivers United player Stephen gave the visitors early lead with a good header from a well taken corner.

Sunday Adetunji, Nelson Esor and Martins Usule were guilty of wasting good opportunities to restored parity for the Stanley Eguma’s tutored side later.

Malachi Ohawume however spare their blushes as he scored the equalizer with few second left in the added time, to snatch a point for Rivers United.

Commenting on the performance to journalist after the game, Adetunji was left frustrated with the everything, especially their failure to kill off the game by taking chances.

“We were unlucky not to win, we were the better side, we created the chances and should have won. It’s painful, but we need to focus on our next games.”  He said.

With the result, Rivers United have now failed to win at home for the second successive game this season.
