Enyimba forced FC Ifeanyi Uba to 2-2 draw in Aba

Enyimba International of Aba forced FC Ifeanyi Uba to a 2-2 draw in a rescheduled Nigeria professional football league match in Aba on Wednesday.

The Anambra Warriors raced into an unlikely lead after Evans Ogbonda set up Saidu Adamu from a corner kick and he headed past John Noble.

The visitors should have made it two four minutes later after Austin Oladapo’s back pass was intercepted by Uche Onuaha, but John Noble made a good stop.

The visitors doubled their lead in the second half as Saidu Adamu slid in his second of the evening after the hour mark.

Fit-again Reuben Bala was introduced into the match and he made a definitive impact when he made it 2-1.

It was Bala’s first competitive in fourteen months, and first goal in seventeen months.

The comeback was in the added time when Imo Obot slam home Stanley Okorom’s cross into the far post.

The result has left Enyimba five points off the pace, although Fatai Osho’s men have played two games less than the rest of the pack.
