Assistant Coach of Nigeria’s Basketball national team and NBBF’S chief scout at the National Sports Festival Odaudu Ogoh has stated that he is set to send his report and list of outstanding players scouted during the basketball event of the Sports Festival to the Nigeria Basketball Federation describing the exercise as an impressive ground to shop for future talents.
Ogoh speaking in a chat with brila.net said while the players discovered may not be readily available for the senior national team’s immediate campaign at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the age and bunch of top display by the young talented basketball players give a good sign for the future.
“I was privileged to see quite a number of young kids who have actually grown and shown signs of been great players. Quite a lot of them are young but the level of basketball exhibited at this festival is very amazing.
“Thank God for the festival we’ve been able to unearth a couple of them and I am going to send my report to the Federation and hopefully they release the list of those that are outstanding both Male and Female that have shown a lot of promise.”
