Nigeria and West Bromwich Albion defender Semi Ajayi is calling for positive mindsets from Nigerians ahead of the weekend AFCON qualifying fixture against Benin republic stressing that it has become imperative to eschew the negative emotions of the last outing by the Super Eagles in the ill-fated double draw against Sierra Leone.
Ajayi speaking in a chat with brila.net said the players already have their minds switched and set on the upcoming games against Benin republic and Lesotho and as such already have a positive mindset going into these games.
“We can’t continue to perpetuate those negative emotions, we need to start thinking positively so and that’s what we are looking to do. We are looking to going into the game with a positive mindset to make sure that we get the job done and qualify for the AFCON. I’ve played the midfield role for my club and Super Eagles but naturally, I am a defender.”
