Ndidi and Iheanacho combine to save Leicester City

Kelechi Iheanacho’s super volley earned Leicester City a point against Burnley in Wednesday’s English Premier league match at Turf Moor.

Iheanacho earned his first back to back premier league starts this season after featuring from the start against Arsenal last Sunday.

Leicester made a sluggish start at Turf Moor and the warning signs were there when Ben Mee headed just wide inside a minute.

The home side took the lead four minutes into the match when Hamza Choudhury’s wayward pass to Wilfred Ndidi was intercepted by Matej Vydra who skipped past the midfielder, before placing the ball was style past Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

The Foxes levelled up though, scoring in the 34th minute. Ndidi played a forward pass for Iheanacho, who freed himself from his markers before hitting an incredible first-time volley with his left foot.

The goal was Iheanacho’s second of the season in the premier league. He was later replaced by Marc Albrighton in the 64th minute, while his compatriot Wilfred Ndidi played full 90 minute.

The game ended 1-1 and it marked two-year anniversary of Brendan Rodgers’ first game in charge of Leicester City.
