William Troost-Ekong says Watford will be aiming for another victory when they visit Bournemouth in the English Championship match this Saturday.
The Hornets will go to Vitality Stadium with a record of just one defeat, six victories and five draws in their last 12 away meeting with the Cherries.
The Hornets are also in fine form winning their last four matches in the championship and are currently level on the same point with second-placed team Brentford.
Speaking to the club’s website ahead of the match, Ekong said the game is massive for his team, despite Bournemouth’s recent poor form.
“It’s a massive game, everyone probably highlighted this game at the start of the season and it still feels the same. Bournemouth is going through a rocky spell and they’ve had a change of manager, but we can’t think like that as that’s when banana skins come out.
“They are a quality team and every Championship game is hard. They have suffered some difficult moments, but they see this as a final as we do. If we win this game we can really get a gap between us. It’s going to be a massive game.” he said.
Troost-Ekong, who has played 22 times for Watford this season is expected to be among the players to be invited by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for the upcoming 2022 Afcon qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
