Onuachu scores 25th goal of the season in Belgium

Paul Onuachu found the back of the net for his club KRC Genk in their 2-1 away win against Sporting Charleroi in their Belgian Jupiler League encounter at the Stadu du Pays de Charleroi on Friday.

 

The lanky who failed to score in two previous matches put his side ahead from the penalty spot in the 17th minutes of the match.

 

The 26-year-old has now converted all the seven penalties he attempts this season.

 

The latest goal took his tally 25 goals in all competitions this season, which is now his new personal best since turning professional.

 

Onuachu was replaced by his compatriot Cyriel Dessers in the 80th minute of the match.

 

Meanwhile, Ali Gholizadeh restored the parity for hosts in the 52nd minute, bwgode Kristian Thorstvedt scored the winner for Genk in the 83rd minutes.

 

The victory ended a run of three league games without a win for Genk and took them to 46 points from 29 games, just two points off second-placed Royal Antwerp.
