Enyimba striker Victor Mbaoma is lamenting opportunities missed early in the season already due to an injury-plagued start to the current campaign after missing out on a few key games particularly games against Rivers united in the CAF Confederation cup which had Nigeria National team coach Gernot Rohr in attendance.
Mbaoma speaking in a chat with brila.net expressed frustration on how the injury has slowed down his anticipated target to the season after a bright start last season got truncated by the abrupt end to the season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
He thereafter added that he is still optimistic about returning to his best in the current campaign.
“I’m not happy because it’s just like trying to stop me from doing what I know how to do. It doesn’t make me happy at all because I have a target but it’s unfortunate I have not been able to play but I have not given up, there are still a lot of games to play and it is not too late to get anything whatsoever done but it’s just frustrating and I know that the right time is always the best time.”
