Rivers United goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai has stated that he is sure of the chances of the Porthacourt based Nigeria Professional Football League side securing group stage qualification at the expense of fellow NPFL side Enyimba FC ahead of Sunday’s CAF Confederation cup playoff round return leg fixture despite losing 1-0 in the first leg.
Afelokhai speaking in a chat with brila.net said Rivers united have seen what they need to see in the first leg and able to work to overturn a 1-0 deficit when playing at home.
He stressed that come Sunday, Enyimba will be knocked out of the CAF Confederation cup.
“We have played the first leg and we saw everything that we need to see and thank God that it’s not more than that 1-0, we have a big chance to qualify to the group stage and by God grace coming up Sunday we will qualify by God grace, I don’t know how the goals will come whether it’s 2-0 or 3-0 or 4-1 all I know is we will qualify on Sunday by God grace.”
