Enyimba forward Victor Mbaoma has stated that the CAF Confederation cup remains a consolation target for the People’s Elephant and as such are condemned to going all the way to win with the reality of dropping from the more prestigious CAF champions league starring the team in the face ahead of this weekend playoff round in the competition.
Mbaoma speaking in a chat with www.brila.net stressed that the team will have no excuse other than to ensure they make up for their miss with a success in Africa’s second-tier cup competition.
“We are actually condemned to actually succeed, we have no excuse we just have to win and get past this stage. We just have to console ourselves with this CAF Confederation cup.”
