Sunday Adetunji has confirmed his exit from Plateau United after five months with the club.
Adetunji, 23, officially confirmed his exit from the club, Tuesday, on social media in a farewell message to his former teammates and club fans.
He wrote:
I want to appreciate Plateau United for the opportunity to play for this iconic club, it was a great privilege to be a part of the club’s history, I am honored.
The journey was short but amazing and overwhelming. I appreciate Abdu Maikaba for giving a chance to work him, one of the best managers I’ve worked with.
The head of the club Pius Henwan is a great man and the entire Plateau United family are lovely people.
I made few friends and my teammates were wonderful, it was a difficult decision but we considered Plateau United and it was time to cut it short for the sake of everyone at the club.
I made a huge sacrifice as a human being for the love I had for the club.
The forward joined the the club in a two-year and half deal back in August 2020 after returning home from a stint in Czech Republic.
He becomes a free agent and there is yet no indication he could be joining another NPFL side.
