Katsina United got their 2020-2021 Nigeria professional football season into a flying when they defeated Heartland of Owerri in a five-goal thriller on Monday.
Heartland led the game twice at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium but two goals in final three minutes gave Kastina United the maximum points.
Bright Onyedikachi fired Heartland into the lead inside the opening 2 minutes, but Massally Boubacar restored parity for Katsina United in the 44th minutes.
The second half started with great intensity from both side, but the opening goal of the half came in the 81st minutes.
The Naze Millionares went in front again through Samuel Nnoshiri in the 81st minute of the encounter.
Katsina United responded and levelled the scores again in the 88th minute when Boubacar scored his second of the game off Usman Barau’s assist.
The drama wasn’t over, substitute Samuel Kalu turned the game around for the home team with the winner at the death.
