Former Nigeria international Emmanuel Amunike says he wants to see obvious growth in Nigerian football as he marked his 50th birthday on Christmas Day.
When asked to make a wish on Friday afternoon via Brila FM, the former Barcelona forward disclosed that his birthday wish is to see growth in the game of football in Nigeria.
”My wish is to see the game of football grow in Nigeria in the coming year,” the former Golden Eaglets handler said.
As one of Nigeria’s most successful coaches, Amunike is often linked to the Super Eagles’ top job as Rohr’s replacement before the German secured a contract extension.
Amunike led the Golden Eaglets to the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile and guided Tanzania to the 2019 Afcon after a lengthy absence.
