Kano Pillars forward Ebuka David has lamented the Masugida’s short-lived stint in the CAF Confederation cup especially after missing out on the chance to fulfill the team and personal targets on the continent.
David who scored the team’s only goal on the continent in the 3-1 defeat to Diaraf told brila.net that the failure of the team at this stage of the competition is largely due to the inactivity and lack of competitive games with the league yet to start.
“Very painful, I feel very sad honestly because my dream was to play that continental to the group stage. Once you’re in the group stage you will see so many offers and I believe you will sell yourself out there. What caused us so many of us was because the league was not on.”
