‘Don’t Sack Me Yet,’ Super Eagles Manager’s jokey Birthday Message to NFF President

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr send emotional birthday messages to the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, who turned 50.

In a video shared on the Super Eagles Twitter handle, Rohr joined his players to send wishes to the former Confederation of African Football 1st five president.

 

The Franco-German said he has enjoyed every bit of his time working with Pinnick and hope they can win the 2022 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon and FIFA World Cup together.

 

“Happy birthday president, it’s four and half years that we are together and I hope that when it’s your birthday in December you didn’t sack me yet (laugh). I hope that we go further and win this Afcon and possibly the world cup together,” said Rohr.

 

Amaju Pinnick and Gernot Rohr began their working relationship back in 2016, and Nigeria to qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

 

The Super Eagles also finished third at the last African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
