Former D Tigers captain, Olumide Oyedeji has charged aspiring athletes in Nigeria to work harder in other to get to that stage.
Oyedeji in a chat with brila.net stated that it takes the building of ten thousand houses to achieve such a feat of becoming an olympian.
“It’s not an overnight thing or magic to want to win if you want to be an Olympian – It is going to take you about ten thousand houses for you to get there.”
“To compete and also win a medal, you have to check that ten thousand houses of competitiveness of practices, I believe someday somehow we will get there but unfortunately, We are blessed in ensuring we know how to perform magic under pressure but the majority of times it does not work like that because you don’t have to cheat nature,” he said.
