Center-back William Troost-Ekong is optimistic the Super Eagles can pick three points against Sierra Leone in Freetown on Tuesday.
Ekong featured for the entire duration when the sides met in Benin City; the game ended in an 8-goal thriller.
It was a game to forget for the Super Eagles who saw their four-goal lead cancelled out following a stunning comeback from Sierra Leone.
Ekong however assured Nigerians, in a post-training interview on Monday evening, that the team is hungry and want to qualify for the AFCON finals.
“We are ready for the game tomorrow (Today), we just finished a good training session. We have prepared and we don’t underrate our opponents, we keep our concentration.
“No surprises about the pitch, it’s just like every other pitch in Africa. The fans will see a team that is hungry and we want to qualify for the AFCON,” Ekong said.
